Retro Fit Your Existing Cabinets

Q&A

Q: Can you put a pull out into a narrow cabinet?

A: Yes. Narrow cabinets benefit from a pull out because they are almost unusable without them. We have started to place the rails under the pull outs. We will loose almost three inches in vertical height but we will have gain almost two extra inches in width having the rails tucked underneath. These are almost always spice racks or tray bins.

Q: Can I put a pull out under the sink?

A: We have a specially designed unit for the sink, called a riser.

Q: How much space will I lose in my cabinets?

A: The inside of the pull out is usually 2 inches smaller than the opening in width and 1 inch smaller in depth because of the sides of the box and the rails.

Q: How much weight do they hold?

A: Full extension rails are rated at 100 lbs so that they will function well with about an 80 lb. load.

Q: Can you put a pull out in my upper cabinet?

A: We usually do not recommend it because it is difficult for the customer to look into them, if they are above their head. Also prices are based on width, not depth.

Q: How much do they cost?

A: Prices range from $135 to $210. It depends on the style of the pull out and how much modification needs to be done.

Q: What are they made of?

A: The pull outs are made of Baltic Birch from Russia. This is one of strongest plywood’s available. The bottoms are ¼ inch thick. The mutli-ply construction makes an attractive edge to bull nose, and the light color looks great as a veneer core drawer.
